Woooooooooooooo! Just got home from an awesome GEAR-UP youth service! From 78 attendees last week, we stepped out to 126 breaking the 100 barrier! Not just that, lots of people responded to the altar call leading lots of people to Christ! C’mon! One thing is that the students were immediately plugged up to almost 20 life groups that will meet ASAP! Grabe! I am so amazed and thankful to God “kasi this has nothing to do with us, ITS ALL BECAUSE OF JESUS”. One more great thing is MAY LIFEGROUP NA ‘KO! Waaaaaaaah.. haha.. I am so blessed to finally have a lifegroup again! Although I know that it’s just for the meantime, I know that in just weeks, I’ll be able to empower Adrian Ranas to continue meeting them regularly! I just need to continue the 121 J
Going back to the topic for this devotional, I guess this is a great reminder for us, especially to GEAR-UP people. As what was written in Ephesians5:15-17
15 Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. 17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.
Wow! Parang ONELIFETOLIVE pa din ah! As I remembered right, this was also a part of the preaching made by Christian Salvatierra kanina J As the devotional further elaborates:
Zeal without wisdom can be dangerous and wasteful, that is why God encourages us to seek wisdom from His word, from those who have gone ahead of us in this Christian walk, and those who walk alongside of us. With their guidance, we can align our passion, excitement, and strengths to His Will. And this Will is for us to be maximized in every way to fulfill the promises He has for each of us.
Sigh! I really thank God for the people around me! Somehow, they make a BIG ROLE on my SPIRITUAL MATURITY over the years! I am also blessed to meet this verse that God gave me years ago when I wanted to shift my course to BA Communications; Proverbs 19:20; Listen to advice and accept instructions and in the end you will be wise J So from that time onwards, whenever I decide, I consider 4 things (FAITH ANDRES, I will never forget about this J):
1. Word of God
2. Holy Spirit
3. Godly Counsel
4. Common sense
Syempre, anxieties are there especially upon deciding to do on something, but if it was well counseled and was well planned, then just LET GOD to move through that!:)
