DAY16: DROP-JAW MOVEMENTS

Super HOORAY!! J just finished the first set of devotionals (From Day1-15). Now, I’m up to the 2nd half of these 31-day devotional and blog challenge. I just pray to God na as I try to finish this devotional, my fire would be ignited more for Jesus! I don’t want to finish this thing just because I want to brag about it or something, but because I’m serious about this relationship and I want my passion for Jesus to be IGNITED more! J

EXCERPT FROM THE DEVOTIONAL:

We look up to several people and when we admire them we often exert effort to know personal details about them, follow their life story, and even try to emulate how they do things or respond to situations. And what more if we get the chance to meet them in person! We would probably get all excited—pick our best outfit, rehearse what we’ll say, all because we are about to meet someone who is important to us.

Do we act the same way towards God? Oftentimes we forget that the One we call Father, Lord, and Savior is the most important person who was, is, and is to come! He alone is most worthy of all our praise and worship and no other important person can top that. Pray that God will reveal Himself more and more to you as you spend time getting to know Him. For sure, countless drop-jaw moments will come your way.

As I read the content of the topic for today, somehow I was convicted! Often times, I tend to admire lots of stuffs that I tend to forget that all those are from the Maker! Instead of focusing more on God, I was somehow displaced unto that particular stuff (which is wrong!). But that was before! J HEHE.

I really don’t know but at present, I am not craving for other great stuffs. I learned to be faithful on the small things that I have. I found out that excellence isn’t measured if you have lots of cool stuffs especially sa music team J but depends upon how you use the things that you have! Although God will pour out so much favor on us, but I think we need to be faithful first on the things that we have!:)

One thing that blesses me so much is what God is doing at Victory Lucban! Who would’ve thought that whenever we do our praise and worship, all we need is just a guitar, a beatbox and some singers and the rest is God’s presence! Buti nga ngayon may keyboard na eh! Pero dati, as in wala. Naka acetate pa kami noon regarding the lyrics, minsan manila paper tapos were being faithful dun sa sumpungin na speaker na sometimes ayaw gumana at dun sa microphone na puro rust, pero people are being blessed; week by week they come to God worshiping HIM in a RADICAL WAY! For me, it’s a DROP-JAW MOVEMENT! Kasi it has nothing to do with us, but with God! I just can’t help but be amazed everytime I’m at VCF Lucban kasi it just proves na IT’S GOD WHO IS IN CONTROL! Right now, I believe we are a healthy church and as of this moment, were a step higher in breaking the 50 barrier in our Gear-up and Sunday service (breaking the 100 barrier in just a while! BY FAITH).

I just remembered our super faith experiences last year when Victory Lucban was established as a separate congregation from Victory Lucena. Since June 2010, we were faithfully praying and praying, holding meetings, VOF’s, and reaching out to students; all by FAITH. WE EVEN STARTED FROM SCRATCH! From a youth service that started with 11 persons that turned out to be the Generation 1 leaders (although 10 kami na natira J) to ENGAGING, ESTABLISHING, EQUIPPING and EMPOWERING the generation 2 and generation 3 leaders! J (gen4,5,6 to go! wohooo), everything is ALL BECAUSE OF JESUS! From all those ups and downs, the stretchings and the BY FAITH experiences, I can say that MY JAW DROPPED from everything that God did! In just a year, God has prepared us on the harvest that we are reaping right now! HAHA! Dumating pa nga yung moment na Lyan was on SCM and the leadership was left to the Gen1 leaders, so imagine, parang kami yung fulltime! Great thing was, that was the time that Lifebox Lucban became healthier! J IT’S ALL BECAUSE OF JESUS pa rin J

some of the current GEAR-UP YOUTH Leaders :) which I am blessed to work with :)

Right now, I can’t help but be dependent to God for more! I know that there’s more! Right now, were on our 2nd week of our semester! Last week was a blast, I can’t help but be excited for tomorrow’s GEAR-UP service! Still, everything will be by the GRACE of JESUS, as for me and the GEAR-UP Youth Leaders, we will always
