DAY 1: NEVER TOO YOUNG TO START

It’s been 9 days since Ignite Conference ended! J Still I just can’t get enough of the awesome experience we had at Cuneta Astrodome! :) It’s really great to see 7000 people gather to worship the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords J. Every after conferences, it’s really a challenge on how to KEEP THE FIRE BURNING! Syempre God is our ULTIMATE SOURCE OF FIRE, but we need do things that will help us KINDLE our passion more! Good thing they made a 15 day devotional to help us IGNITE the fire in our hearts even after the conference :D Upon agreeing to do this 15 day devotional, I decided to write things that God would make me understand per day J. I’m really excited for the things that God will do! I CAN DO THIS (I haven’t posted a blog for months na.. HAHA) :D

1 Timothy 4:12

Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.

Whenever I hear or read this verse in Timothy, a phrase keeps on circling on my mind, it’s the word “DO HARD THINGS!”. Age isn’t a restriction! As young as you are, God can use you to make an impact to your community! AGE DOESN’T MATTER!!!!!! What really matters is the ONE WHO SENT YOU!

We know a lot of people whom at their young age, does things that are not normal for them to do at their age. Even from the bible! God has been calling people at their early age! As young as they are, they were able to prove to their society that THEY CAN! So why settle for less when God can use you for greater things! :D

Jeremiah 1:4-8

4 The word of the LORD came to me, saying,

5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew[a] you,

before you were born I set you apart;

I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”

6 “Alas, Sovereign LORD,” I said, “I do not know how to speak; I am too young.”

7 But the LORD said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am too young.’ You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you. 8 Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the LORD.

Most of us tend to be like Jeremiah in this verse! God has been calling us to go out there yet we tend to give excuses! “Di pa naman ako ganon ka mature eh!”, “Mas magaling kaya sila sa ‘kin” or even “di ko kaya ‘yan, sila na lang please!”. Well the truth is, you won’t be able to excel on something if you’re not going to do it now! I remember the first time that I was released as a part of the MUSIC TEAM on our Youth Service. “Para akong bato sa stage”. I wasn’t moving at all! HAHA. But I don’t do that now! (di ko pala alam. HAHA MAYBE! :)) I was able to conquer my fear of singing in front of people! God even gave me the opportunity to lead people to worship not because I’m old but because it was God who sent me :). God made a progressive improvement but it all STARTED IN STEPPING OUT OF MY COMFORT ZONE!

God has called us for EVEN GREATER! With a God as BIG as HIM, what else is hindering you from DOING WHAT GOD WANTS YOU TO DO? Better STEP OUT OF THAT BOX! As early as NOW, MAKE A STAND!

NEVER TOO YOUNG TO START!! Whatever age you are, when God tells you to do something, DO IT! :)

I dunno how you see yourself right now, all I know is God sees you BIGGER THAN THAT :)
