Missed the Fellowship

I really missed hanging out with my VCF Lucena Family. For 7 weeks being at Manila (thank you Lord), 3 days at the camp (love it), and a week at our house (boring.. hehe), I kinda missed going out with people from church, have fun in the same time have fellowship with each other. :)

smiling while being punched? hmmm :)

c-u-t-e :)

this is my favorite shot :))

After the youth service, we went out (some of us) and enjoyed the night at the carnival. The rides were great but the fellowship was greater. “sayang wala masyadong pictures sa carnival pero promise, nagenjoy ako!”. All the time, I was with Kuya Medel; sa rides, upon walking and kausap with some matters. After hanging out at the carnival, Kuya Medel, Medith, Dina and I went to Perez Park to find something to eat (missed the park, missed hanging out with them too).

i liked the lomo effect :)

Yup there was fun and enjoyment this evening, but one thing I’ll truly cherish is the fellowship. We’re enjoying, in the same time encouraging one another in faith, in love and in holliness. :)

MY FOURTH BOOK THIS SUMMER :)

Aargh, I was really craving for an internet connection last night but unfortunately there weren’t any. There was a limited or no connectivity on the internet line so I wasn’t able to connect. There was a wi-fi available but was too poor to be linked to. So, I just enjoyed the night through reading. :)

I just finished my third book for this summer (Xtreme Calling). The 2 books I’ve read was really amazing (Embraced by the cross and Do Hard things); it made me realize to take my up cross every single day and do things beyond what I can see. The third book I’ve read (Xtreme Calling) made me sensitive to the calling God has placed to my life. I was so inspired by the meaningful stories that were compiled by Kelly Carr in that book! (Thumbs up!) Now, I’m ready to be refreshed and equipped once again with the book I’m about to read. It is entitled, Permission Evangelism. :)

Evangelism isn’t important for a non-Christian, it is important for YOU. Sharing the gift of God’s love with someone else should be the most exciting and encouraging event in your life- every time it happens. Think of what you may be missing! Be selfish, be greedy, and be relentless with your desire to grow closer to God; but understand that the greatest intimacy with God’s heart is found in sharing his greatest passion.

If you desire to know God’s heart, you must become enraptured with His greatest passion. When you understand God’s heart and let it change you, you can learn to help others discover His grace. If all of heaven rejoices at the salvation of one soul, shouldn’t we want to join the party? :)

Evangelism isn’t a duty, it’s a BLESSING. It is an opportunity for you to grow closer to God and know His heart intimately. By learning to discern his working Spirit, you will unleash the power of his Spirit in your life. And it allows you to experience love and grace like nothing else you will never find in his life.

I’m so excited to read this book. I’m praying to God for a renewed passion for evangelism as I read this book. I just realized that Evangelism isn’t just a job for those who were called to Fulltime ministry but a calling for everybody. It’s a believer’s calling to share the gospel to a non-believer, it’s not just a rule to follow! :)

CHOSEN GENERATION

I really want to go and watch the PASSION concert @ the big dome yesterday. :( Kaya lang, I wasn't able to be there kasi I was already at Lucena City which is 3-4 hours away pa from Manila. So, I prayed na lang (hahahahah)

Kidding aside, due to curiosity, I sneaked in to youtube.com to listen to some songs from the PASSION 2010 Album. As I was browsing the site, I was caught up with the one song entitled “chosen generation”. Then, I remembered a wall post from a friend on facebook:

special mention ang post ni AJ oh :)

Upon listening to the song over and over again, I couldn’t help but cry out in thanksgiving to God for everything he did to me. I imagined when God raised me from total darkness and introduced me to dazzling light of salvation. Though I am not worthy, God still showed His care for me. Though I am a man of uncleaned lips, God still showed his mercy. :)

“The days are coming”, declared the Lord, “when I will raise up to David a righteous branch”

Jeremiah 23:5

We are a chosen generation

Rise up, holy nation

God, we live for You

You have called us out of darkness

Into light so glorious

God, we live for You

We live for You

God, we live for You

We run with passion for Your name, we run

Freedom, You've broken every chain, we run

Our God will not be moved

Our God will never be shaken

We run to You, we run

We are a chosen generation

Rise up, holy nation

God, we live for You

You have called us out of darkness

Into light so glorious

God, we live for You

We run with passion for Your name, we run

Freedom, You've broken every chain, we run

Our God will not be moved

Our God will never be shaken

We run to You, we run

We are a chosen generation

Rise up, holy nation

God, we live for You

You have called us out of darkness

Into light so glorious

God, we live for You

Our God will not be moved

Our God will never be shaken

Our God will not be moved

Our God will never be shaken

Our God will not be moved

Our God will never be shaken

We run to You, we run

We are a chosen generation

Rise up, holy nation

God, we live for You

You have called us out of darkness

Into light so glorious

God, we live for You

'Cause You are everything

More than all we need

God, we live for You

God, we live for You

I've found this world to be

Not enough for me

God, we live for You

God, we live for You

God, we live for You

God, we live for You

We are a chosen generation

Rise up, holy nation

God, we live for You

You have called us out of darkness

Into light so glorious

God, we live for You

Come on, sing, we are

We are a chosen generation

Rise up, holy nation

God, we live for You

You have called us out of darkness

Into light so glorious

God, we live for You

We live for You

God, we live for You

I believe that this generation is the righteous branch, the branch that God has called His chosen one. And as a chosen generation, we shouldn't stop living for God's name through responding and fulfilling His calling for each of us!

“I, myself will gather the remnant of my flock out of all the countries where I have driven them and will bring them back to their pasture, where they will be fruitful and increase in number. I will place shepherds over them who will tend them, and they will no longer be afraid or terrified, nor will any be missing, “ declares the Lord

Jeremiah 23:3-4

God is able! God is in control! He is waiting for us! We should go! We should live for Him! We are the chosen generation!! :)) I am really glad to be a part of this generation! A generation that will make Jesus FAMOUS :))

THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES

Should’ve been posted three weeks ago:

Time really is fleeting swiftly. It’s been 2 months na pala since I came here to Manila for my summer affiliation. Last Friday marked my last day of duty as an affiliate (yipEE). Aside from the whole “duty” thing, I also experienced other memorable things during my stay!!!!!

For the past 7 weeks, it has been part of my routine every week to attend @ level up during Fridays and be present at the 5pm service every Sunday at Victory Pioneer. I was always with Faith, “siya lang kilala ko dun eeeh.. eheheh”. Every week was really awesome; the preaching was great, ang daming revelations and super nakakatawa si Pastor Robert. Sa loob din ng 7weeks, I also had new friends. Somehow, I was inspired on how they live for God’s name and how they respond to God’s calling in their lives. Masaya silang kasama

I’m was really amazed how God moved and molded me this summer. I didn't imagine my summer to be this fruitful and memorable. As of now, I’m excited to go back to Lucena to apply everything I have learned here. I’ll miss my new friends, but I have to go home na.. anyway, we’re just a facebook away. Keep in touch
