Aargh, I was really craving for an internet connection last night but unfortunately there weren’t any. There was a limited or no connectivity on the internet line so I wasn’t able to connect. There was a wi-fi available but was too poor to be linked to. So, I just enjoyed the night through reading. :)
I just finished my third book for this summer (Xtreme Calling). The 2 books I’ve read was really amazing (Embraced by the cross and Do Hard things); it made me realize to take my up cross every single day and do things beyond what I can see. The third book I’ve read (Xtreme Calling) made me sensitive to the calling God has placed to my life. I was so inspired by the meaningful stories that were compiled by Kelly Carr in that book! (Thumbs up!) Now, I’m ready to be refreshed and equipped once again with the book I’m about to read. It is entitled, Permission Evangelism. :)
Evangelism isn’t important for a non-Christian, it is important for YOU. Sharing the gift of God’s love with someone else should be the most exciting and encouraging event in your life- every time it happens. Think of what you may be missing! Be selfish, be greedy, and be relentless with your desire to grow closer to God; but understand that the greatest intimacy with God’s heart is found in sharing his greatest passion.
If you desire to know God’s heart, you must become enraptured with His greatest passion. When you understand God’s heart and let it change you, you can learn to help others discover His grace. If all of heaven rejoices at the salvation of one soul, shouldn’t we want to join the party? :)
Evangelism isn’t a duty, it’s a BLESSING. It is an opportunity for you to grow closer to God and know His heart intimately. By learning to discern his working Spirit, you will unleash the power of his Spirit in your life. And it allows you to experience love and grace like nothing else you will never find in his life.
I’m so excited to read this book. I’m praying to God for a renewed passion for evangelism as I read this book. I just realized that Evangelism isn’t just a job for those who were called to Fulltime ministry but a calling for everybody. It’s a believer’s calling to share the gospel to a non-believer, it’s not just a rule to follow! :)
Kidding aside, due to curiosity, I sneaked in to youtube.com to listen to some songs from the PASSION 2010 Album. As I was browsing the site, I was caught up with the one song entitled “chosen generation”. Then, I remembered a wall post from a friend on facebook:
special mention ang post ni AJ oh :)
I believe that this generation is the righteous branch, the branch that God has called His chosen one. And as a chosen generation, we shouldn't stop living for God's name through responding and fulfilling His calling for each of us!
God is able! God is in control! He is waiting for us! We should go! We should live for Him! We are the chosen generation!! :)) I am really glad to be a part of this generation! A generation that will make Jesus FAMOUS :))
Should’ve been posted three weeks ago:
Time really is fleeting swiftly. It’s been 2 months na pala since I came here to Manila for my summer affiliation. Last Friday marked my last day of duty as an affiliate (yipEE). Aside from the whole “duty” thing, I also experienced other memorable things during my stay!!!!!
For the past 7 weeks, it has been part of my routine every week to attend @ level up during Fridays and be present at the 5pm service every Sunday at Victory Pioneer. I was always with Faith, “siya lang kilala ko dun eeeh.. eheheh”. Every week was really awesome; the preaching was great, ang daming revelations and super nakakatawa si Pastor Robert. Sa loob din ng 7weeks, I also had new friends. Somehow, I was inspired on how they live for God’s name and how they respond to God’s calling in their lives. Masaya silang kasama
I’m was really amazed how God moved and molded me this summer. I didn't imagine my summer to be this fruitful and memorable. As of now, I’m excited to go back to Lucena to apply everything I have learned here. I’ll miss my new friends, but I have to go home na.. anyway, we’re just a facebook away. Keep in touch
