WHEN GOD TOLD YOU TO DO SOMETHING, NO MATTER HOW DIFFICULT IT MAY BE OR HOW THE SITUATION MAY HINDER YOU TO, WILL YOU STILL OBEY HIM? J
Last Saturday, March 5th, while walking home, I received an impression from God na He’s telling me to go to the Planetshakers concert on March 12th. As I ponder on the instruction, I told myself that I can’t. First, “kasi examinations week na! sobrang dami ng payments to settle, wala na atang matitira para sa expenses sa concert.” Second, “I dunno where to sleep, Faith Andres (from VCF Makati) replied to my message of I can have a sleepover sa kanila (AGAIN), but she can’t kasi mejo magulo sa house nila ngayon.” Third, “kulang ang preparation, how can you expect na maka-produce ako ng money for a week for the ticket and fare? Waaaah. I can’t talaga” but throughout the whole week, God wasn’t saying anything for me not to go to the concert K
Sunday, March 5th, while at the Sunday service at VCF Lucban, sa tithes and offering, God told me to give everything I have to the offering envelope. Of course, that time, di na ‘ko masyadong nakipag argue ke God considering the fact na I did that during the EN2010 times and God provided J. So I gave the amount on the offering envelope amounting to 200.00 (Oo! Yan na lang yung pera ko nun! Ubos na! haha). I just detached some for my fare back home and for my lunch. While writing the prayer points, I just claimed the God’s word from Malachi 3:10
10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.
Monday came, and Faith replied to my message saying that she can’t let me sleep at her place. Sabi ko “waaaaaaaaaah.. Lord, ano ba ‘to? (haha)”. But God didn’t told me anything but to GO!Wednesday na! wala pa din akong naiipon! Nasira pa budget ko due to some financial matters to settle and also for food (haha). Sumakit na lang yung ulo ko! I dunno what to do, tapos nagkaron pa ko ng ubo until now. L
But it’s truly amazing that when you obey God, He turns the situation upside down!
Thursday afternoon, I talked to some friends at school, Hanniel Abat and Jezrah Ohagan from JA1 church asking them if they want to watch the concert. Sabi nila “oo! Gusto ko!” and finally when Saturday came, I was able to go to Manila! Blessings came and was poured out so much! It was really an awesome experience being at the Philippine Sports Arena! It has been truly a moment of worship! While singing the songs, I just cried and cried in thankfulness to God kasieverything has nothing to do with me, I just obeyed and stepped out in faith, andGod made a way! He turned my situation upside down. Hindi lang yon, I received a message from Lyan Lopez; our campus missionary who’s currently at SCM na I can stay at their place for a sleepover! God is really awesome! :D Naka-attend na ko ng concert, I was able to have a sleep over na, I was able to attend pa kanina sa 6:30pm service ng Victory Greenhills J. Hindi lang 'yon, I was also able to meet the cool SCM people (classmates ni Lyan) during the sleepover! :)
Well, this was a step of faith! Last Sunday I was thinking, “Lord, what if hindi ako matuloy? Para san pa na you impressed this to me if I won’t be able to be there naman”, but God didn’t said anything after He told me to go! He didn’t told me to ask questions but to OBEY! Sometimes, people tend to disregard instructions from God; “kasi busy ako, wala akong time”. “you got to be kidding me, that’s impossible”, o di kaya naman “weh? Si God ba talaga yan?”.This experience was truly an unforgettable step outside my comfort zone! Yeah! :) Now I can say that "I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHO GIVES ME STRENGTH"
Obedience to an instruction lalo na if it is from God is important to us as Christians! This was my testimony! On how I obeyed and got the reward! How about you? Have you got the reward? If not, then start obeying! :D
