WHATTA SEM! :D

“Pass your papers! And then we’ll check!”
as verbalized by our Clinical Instructors in Medical-Surgical Nursing. Wohoo! This is really is it! The end of this semester! The break that everyone’s talking about! The thing that everyone’s waiting for! It’s finally here!

This semester really brought up something new to me! “Akala ko,magiging matagal ang isang semester para sa ‘kin, mabilis lang pala talaga!”. Is it because of the fact that Senior year is really a busy year? Or was it because time is just fast enough that five months have already passed. lol. NEVERMIND!.. After all, it has really been a fast semester for me! To tell you the truth, I really can’t contain everything that happened this sem! Every month had its own story! Every week had its own unique moment. Right now, all I can say is "Thank you God for making this semester a great one!"

JUNE

The start of Senior year! There was a huge change that happened! ENCM is now LIFEBOX!! Cool! As the org adapted its new name, new things are also expected to come!

Before the month ended, we were given the privilege to have a Making Disciples Training with Pastor Ryan Tan! It was a great opportunity that God has given us to learn and be challenged to Go and Make disciples!

JULY

The most awaited event of the Season!! It’s time to come together with Every Nation Family! It’s now time for EN2010! “Kakaiba yung experience! Grabe! It was really an event to remember!”

the biggest reunion of Everynation Family across the globe..

Lucban youth with some of the international delegates

it was indeed a reunion! I missed hanging out with some friends from Pioneer and makati..

AUGUST

This month was full of fellowship and planning! I’m not sure what event we had during this month but it was awesome!

with Lucban youth (again! :D)

SEPTEMBER

Who can forget the 3rd Leader’s Convergence at VCF Lipa. The 2 day event was a very memorable event for me knowing that there, I heard God’s call (for fulltime?) well, maybe! All I know is that during that time, God made me raise my hand and joined the 33 other South Luzon Leaders for the Alter Call! J it was so memorable that I couldn’t thank God enough! It was the starting point a “realization” that “DISCIPLESHIP is a lifestyle!” It’s not just the fulltime who are obliged to do the work but us also! It made me see the picture of a dying generation that this world is producing. They need someone who will tell them that “EVERYTHING is meaningless if it’s not for JESUS”.

OCTOBER

October is a great month! I love this month very much! Even though it is the busiest month, it’s also one of the coolest month ever! J. And a memorable month too!. J It’s the month where LIFEBOX’s first LIFE SEMINAR at SLSU took place! The 2 ½ hour seminar was a blast! We were so blessed with the feedback from the attendees! This marked the start of the big harvest! The start of a near revival! Next to that, our last 3 youth services were full of God’s presence! I’m so blessed to be in this team working with my co-leaders!.

I think right now, I’m focusing myself more on discipleship than on the music ministry! J. For years, I’ve been praying for a Life Group despite my 2 day class and finally, I was able to establish one this semester! Despite the fact that this month is the busiest month in my nursing life, it also became the month where i got the vision of “making disciples”. “Ang sarap sa pakiramdam na God is using you as an instrument for others to know him more”. I think, this is the most exciting part of being a Christian, seeing others following Christ through your supervision. Don’t get me wrong, God is the one making us grow more, but isn’t it exciting na “yung taong wina-121 mo, nag-ggrow na din kay God”. Exciting!

To some, it might be the end, but for me, it’s just the beginning! “Nabitin talaga ako”. I guess that what God wants me to feel, to be excited for next semester’s harvest! 5 months to go and it’s graduation day! I know next sem will be a fast one too! But I’m more excited to see what God is going to do in Lucban next semester! In Decemeber, Victory Lucban is finally going to be launched as one of Victory's provincial church! (can’t wait for that). As a graduating student, I think next sem is going to be another busy semester for me! But hey! That ain’t gonna make me busier at all! Yeah I’ll be busier, but I’ll have more time with God! That’s a promise!

LAST WEEK OF SEMESTER

I think I’ll be having sleepless nights again! The countdown is really getting in my nerves! 5 days to go and this semester is over! Well, this is really the part where things get exciting. Imagine after this weeks, I’m only 1 semester away from my diploma. But the pressure also gets tighter as the finish line tapers its way. Aaaarghhh! I have a lot of stuffs to do, things that are need to be accomplished and exams that needs to be taken before this semester end. I think I’ll be friends with coffee again for this week .

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." -Philippians 4:13

Lord, I’m giving it all up to you! I can’t do it alone! Help me finish it all this week! :D

THANKFUL :)

For everything that happened this semester, “sa lahat ng favors, problems, trials, breakthroughs; basta lahat ng nangyari ngayong semester” I’m really thankful and greatful that God didn’t let me face and finish these things alone! I’m so glad that God provided me with people whom really encouraged me a lot! Well, I can’t really do things that I’ve did alone, but with the help of these people, I’m very proud to say that I DID IT! J

First is my DO HARD THINGS BOOK

Okay! This isn’t a person! But it helped me a lot this whole semester! This phrase has been a part of my daily life since last summer when a friend of mine handed me this book for me to read it (Thank you so much Krystle Jove Yague of Victory Pioneer J). I’m also very happy that after I read that book, by doing the same thing Krystle did, some of my friends we’re also encouraged from my book as they read it! Having my duties, finishing my thesis, studying, having life groups and attending services are all hard things for me, but thru this book, I realized that I can do it all with proper time management! :D

NIGHTINGALE CHOIR FAMILY

I had fun everytime we’re having our practice! Let’s all keep this up till next sem! Sad nga lang na during the last 2 months, we weren’t able to meet up pero hopefully next semester (hindi kasi ako umaatend ng flag ceremony), we’ll be back in line again! Thank you for helping me realize that as long as I can manage my time wisely, its okay to stay late for Choir practices. J

BUSY BUT HAS TIME FOR GOD!! :D

8 DAYS TO GO before SEMESTRAL BREAK

7 DAYS TO GO before the final examinations in MEDICAL-SURGICAL Nursing

6 DAYS TO GO before our last YOUTH SERVICE @ Victory Lucban (L)

5 DAYS TO GO before my last VICTORY GROUP for this semester end (sad din)

4 DAYS TO GO before our LECTURES on all subjects end!! (sabi ng C.I’s)

3 DAYS TO GO before my first “tech experience” start! So excited! J

2 DAYS TO GO before SABBATH! J (rest day! Wohoooo!)

1 DAY TO GO before our last duty for this semester ends!!

Busyness is really in everyone’s blood at this point of time. Things are too many to handle that most of us tend to forget things that matters to God! I want to take this opportunity to blog this post because this is what I feel right now! BUSYNESS isn’t an excuse to God! No matter how dedicated we are in other things, we should have time for God and time to do what He wants us to do!

As of now, it’s really a sacrifice for me to go to VCF Lucban every Wednesday knowing the fact that I’m having my exposure at a Hospital 1 hour away from Lucena and 2 hours from Lucban. I’m spending money for extra fares, extra effort for being present and extra time for attending the youth service. Not just that! It’s not just every Wednesdays. I’m also putting my availability every Sunday as volunteer for the 9am service! J It may be tiring, I may be exhausted but I think, this is the right thing for me to do! It’s my way of saying to God, “I’m doing this for me to grow more! Yeah, I’m busy! But that doesn’t mean that I don’t have time for you!”

I think, if I am able to do these things, then so can you! God desires something for your life! He wants your time not because he wants it to be wasted. God has a great destiny for your life! And if you’re going to make yourself busier without having time for Him, then you don’t have any right to call yourself a Christian!! God’s schedule and plan of activities are way too bigger than ours, yet, He has time to listen to everything we say! IF you’re reading this blog, think twice! Look at my sched! I have other things to do as well! But God wants me to spend time for him not just reading the word but having fellowship with the believers; thru the Youth Service and doing Victory Groups! Serving God isn’t varied by the busy days in our schedule! Rather, it should be a routine that we constantly do! J

Still, our foundation should be reading God's word and go deeper in our relationship for him! But for me, i think as a Christian for more than three years, I need to spend more time with God thru reaching out to students via Victory Groups and by DISCIPLESHIP. These things will require more time to be extracted from my busy schedule but Hey! I'm not pressured at all! As long as God is there to guide me everytime i do these things, fear shouldn't be on my vocabulary :)

This is my Cry! This is what I want to do! To be able to spend more time in doing what God wants! I really hope that this cry would be others cry too!!! :))
